Vedic depth or Western horoscopes?
kundli.site vs Co-Star
Co-Star made astrology beautiful for the Western world — sleek tropical horoscopes with AI-written personality insights. kundli.site includes Western astrology too, but adds the entire Vedic system, tarot, Chinese astrology and four languages. Here's the honest breakdown.
The quick verdict
Co-Star is a design triumph: gorgeous, witty, Western tropical astrology with daily horoscopes and synastry-style friend comparisons. If you live in the Western zodiac and want beautiful daily content, it's excellent at what it does.
kundli.site covers Western astrology as well — tropical charts, four house systems, aspects, synastry — but its center of gravity is Vedic: sidereal charts, 16 vargas, dashas, KP, yogas, kundli matching. Plus tarot, numerology, Chinese astrology, and everything in Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil.
Choose Co-Star for Western-only horoscopes with best-in-class design. Choose kundli.site if you want Vedic astrology at all, or more systems, more languages, and one-time pricing.

What actually differs
Four areas where the choice matters most.
The zodiac question
This is the fundamental fork. Western astrology uses the tropical zodiac, anchored to the seasons — your 'sign' is where the Sun was relative to the equinox. Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac, anchored to the actual constellations — about 24° apart due to precession.
Co-Star only speaks tropical. kundli.site speaks both: your Western chart and your Vedic chart from the same birth data, so you can see exactly how the two systems describe you differently. Most of the world outside the West grows up with the sidereal system — for them, Co-Star's chart can feel like reading someone else's horoscope.
Depth of system
Co-Star's depth is in presentation: sharp AI-written insights, social features, beautiful daily content. The underlying system is sun-sign and chart-based Western astrology.
kundli.site's depth is in calculation: 16 divisional charts, Vimshottari dasha timelines, 23 detected yogas, KP sub-lords, ashtakvarga, gochar transits — the machinery of classical Vedic astrology, verified against reference charts. Different kinds of depth for different seekers.
Languages
Co-Star is an English-language product for a Western audience. kundli.site runs fully in Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil alongside English — the languages most Vedic astrology seekers actually speak at home.
If everyone you discuss astrology with speaks English, this doesn't matter. If your grandmother reads Malayalam, it's the whole ballgame.
Pricing
kundli.site is one-time purchases: the most expensive product is $24.99, the daily horoscope and teaser chart are free forever, and nothing renews.
Co-Star operates on a freemium model with premium tiers — check their site for current plans. Neither service should surprise you at checkout; that's the standard both should meet.
Frequently asked

Co-Star computes standard Western tropical charts — the math is conventional. kundli.site's Western engine is likewise verified (positions within 0.01°, all major house systems, 88/88 aspects). The systems differ in zodiac, not in arithmetic honesty.
Western astrology uses the tropical zodiac (season-anchored); Vedic uses the sidereal zodiac (constellation-anchored), about 24° apart. Vedic adds dasha timing systems, 27 nakshatras, and divisional charts. kundli.site offers both from the same birth data so you can compare.
No — Co-Star focuses on Western synastry-style comparisons. kundli.site offers both Western synastry and classical Vedic matching (10-porutham and 8-koota guna milan with per-factor breakdowns).
Co-Star is English-first; verify current language options on their site. kundli.site's daily horoscopes and full experience run in Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and English.
Co-Star's design and tone make Western astrology very approachable. kundli.site's learn section explains Vedic concepts from zero, and the free teaser chart lets you explore without paying. Try both free tiers — they're free for a reason.
No — everything is a one-time purchase, yours forever. Free tier includes daily horoscopes, a teaser chart, and a daily tarot draw.
